Kyra Oliver is a health enthusiast, dedicated marathon runner and philanthropist who believes that good health is the best path to a happier and naturally fulfilling life. An often challenging life journey has created a solid platform from which Kyra extends herself to all those who would like to join her in enjoying a truly natural, healthy, and happy existence. She seeks to show that through small steps, anyone can experience balance from all perspectives; all they need is desire and a will to learn.
Kyra is a successful creative professional, entrepreneur, certified fitness instructor, inventive cook and public speaker. She founded the Hayes Foundation upon experiencing the loss of her 4 ½ month old son Hayes to SIDS, raising over $600,000 and reaching families throughout the country through her This Side Up Campaign. Now a part of the CJ Foundation, a national organization supporting SIDS research and education, she serves on the board and is currently developing a running blog to help raise money and awareness for the CJ Foundation to continue efforts nationally. Kyra started her own company, Oliver Creative, in 2001, helping clients, large and small, build and market their brands. She is also fashion editor of Grid Magazine.
Kyra is Certified Group Fitness Instructor, which allows her to share her passion for physical fitness with others in her community. As a competitive distance runner Kyra has completed numerous races to include 7 marathons. In particular, Kyra has ran the New York Marathon and 2 Boston Marathons finishing in the top 2% overall (qualifying for Boston on her very first marathon). She is a member of USA Track & Field, Sportsbackers Marathon Training Team and Richmond and New York Road Runners. She further develops her fitness and nutrition studies with top accredited nutritionists Tina Shiver, elite ironman athlete and health advocate, Brendan Brazier, highly acclaimed sports medicine physician, Katherine Dec and lead senior physical therapist, Stephen Butler to name a few.
